Ace Wing
A downloadable game for Windows
Aboard the smuggling ship Argos, sneak behind enemy lines in an effort to stop the Coalition invasion by sabotaging their Super Weapon. Armed with the Ace Wing, will you be able to defend the Argos from waves of enemy fighters so it can complete its mission?
About the creator:
Stardate 2020. It is spring time in the Earth system. I found myself with more free time but not much to do so I decided to learn how to make a video game. This game started out as a tribute to Rogue Squadron (one of my favorite old school games). The game eventually ended up with a lot of additional video, movie, and tv show sci fi references. See if you can catch ‘em all!
NOTE: Xbox controller/gamepad on PC is supported. Mouse and keyboard is also supported. Keyboard only is also supported but not recommended.

Install instructions
Once the download is finished, extract the zipped contents of the file. Then doubled click the executable "AceWingGame.exe" to launch the game.
Note: you can change controls by going to the in game Settings menu.

Overall a very good first jaunt into game making!
Some small suggestions:
Shielded turrets should have the blue shields like the fighter hangers do.
Be able to change horizontal and vertical sensitivity independently.
Some enemy fighter movement patterns are very "tight", maybe make them larger so it is easier to track their movement with the guns?
At the last level once there are no enemies following the player maybe pull one off of a different dogfight and make them go after the player so they always feel "under pressure" ?
